"A new and exciting platform for vibrant debate and discourse on pertinent issues and topics that matter!" he stated on the promo.

The MD disclosed that lawyer and governance expert, Javis Bigambo, and human rights defender, Joy Mdivo, will face off on selected topics.

"Join Mdivo and Bigambo on We Debate as they debate the motion: Voting in the General Elections should be made mandatory for all eligible citizens."

The debate between the two will be moderated by a three-member panel who will ask questions and coordinate responses and rejoinders.

Renown producer, Zaitun Ali, will be charged with the production of the show termed as a game changer.

The programme will run immediately after The Weekend Prime which airs on the sister station KTN News.

The launching of the show is part of the station's preparedness to deliver election coverage by focusing on some of the key issues the media feels need to be broken down for the public.

Standard Media Group continues to establish itself as a top tier media house in covering politics. Two of its journalists, Sophia Wanuna (KTN News) and Spice FM's Eric Latiff were among those selected to moderate the Presidential Debate.

The final debate will take place at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) on Tuesday, July 26, from 5.00pm.
