Deputy President William Ruto on Monday 25, July, shared the three questions that he was itching to ask his opponent Azimio flagbearer Raila Odinga to answer during the Presidential Debate scheduled for Tuesday, July 25.

Speaking at a political rally in Iten, Elgeyo Marakwet, Ruto noted that he would probe Raila on his role in the break up of the Jubilee Party, the fate of the Big Four Agenda, and an explanation of Azimio slogans such as Tibim and Tialala.

Ruto accused the former Prime Minister of instigating the divisions in the Jubilee government and destroying the big Four Agenda that he had planned with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“I welcome Raila Odinga to debate, and I want to first ask him why he joined and destroyed our Jubilee Party government and destroyed the Big Four Agenda," Ruto stated.

The DP further claimed that since the handshake with Raila, President Uhuru had been going up and down the country on the ODM boss' agenda while forgetting state duties.

“I wanted to know why he is moving President Uhuru up and down making the price of fertilizer and flour up," he stated

“Kenyans want to know what does this Tibim and Tialala mean?" the DP posed

The UDA presidential candidate expressed confidence that would win the August 9 poll because his team had an agenda for Kenya.

He accused his main challenger of having a poor development track record despite serving as the country's Prime Minister.

Ruto allies promised to revive the failed Arror and Kimwarer dam project if they formed the government after the election. They claimed the projects failed after the handshake.

The DP had initially indicated that he would not attend the presidential debate - citing bias by the press.

However, the tables have turned in recent days as the deputy president showed eagerness to debate while Raila withdrew from the event - citing the poor moderation in past debates.

The Azimio boss will instead be hosting a televised town hall meeting at Jericho, Makadara constituency where voters will be allowed to pose questions to the candidate and his running mate Martha Karua.
