Supporters of Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party can now create a customised poster to show their approval of Raila Odinga and Martha Karua's presidency in what has been termed as a revolutionary way of selling the coalition's agenda.
In a statement dated Wednesday, August 3, the coalition shared a link Kenyans can use to create and share custom posters that can then be posted online.
In a bid to engage with its supporters, the coalition vouched for solidarity by participating in the exercise. The poster left a slot open for Kenyans to upload and resize their images before eventually downloading the final poster.
Among the issues highlighted in the poster that Azimio plans to address include resolutions on devolution, empowerment, women, agriculture, manufacturing, and accountability.
Others include resolutions of the people, prioritising on children, provision of water to every homestead and enabling Babacare (welfare society).
How to Participate
For Kenyans to appear in the Azimio posters, they should visit www(dot)azimio(dot)vote.
Enter your name to proceed.
Upload a photo of your choice and click submit. The subject in the photo has to be centrally placed in order to ensure the top of their head and both shoulders are visible.
The page will take approximately fifteen seconds to load before displaying the results.
The supporters were also encouraged to share their customized posters across all social media platforms.
The coalition has been on a charm offensive by unveiling new strategies to woo voters ahead of the August 9 General Election. From the release of campaign songs, and featuring in infomercials to use of slang to solidify their support base.
Recently, Raila released Leo ni Leo hit song alongside seasoned musician Emmanuel Musindi. The video has since garnered 212,000 views on YouTube.
Not to be left behind, Deputy President William Ruto was featured on the sipangwingwi remix alongside local artist Tony Kinyanjui alias Exray.
