"It is the first time to wear a suit, and I feel excited as it was lent by Derrick Ogayo, a friend who requested me to come for a suit as soon as he heard he that I had a planned interview on JKLive. I would thank him for the full attire. I hope that Jeff you can also head to his shop and get yourself another suit," he stated.

The newly-elected MCA noted that his candidature was dismissed by political critics who assumed that he lacked the resources and experience to battle with seasoned politicians.

Nene, however, pointed out that he persevered and managed to pool his resources despite the insurmountable challenges.

The politician went viral after the August 9 poll for using a borrowed donkey while on a campaign trail.

"The people of Elementaita gave me money to fuel my generator which I had mounted on the donkey which was contrary to what other politicians were doing; giving out money," he noted.

Nene garnered a total of 4,310 votes to clinch the Elementaita ward seat, followed by his closest competitor who got 4,285.

“I was chided, ridiculed and called all manner of names. At one time, I received threats after bookmakers started giving me an outside chance of making it,” he affirmed.

"Others banked on political experience, coupled with influential parties. I never gave up,” he added.

Nene, a graduate of Egerton University, added that his main focus would be to facilitate the provision of water in every household in Elementaita ward.

"I thank the people of Elementaita for voting for me regardless of my age and social status. I’m focused on making Elementaita a greater place than it is today," he noted.

The show also featured Bomet Woman Representative-elect, Linet Chepkorir (Toto), Kiegoi Antubochiu MCA-elect Timothy Mutwiri and Kuresoi North MP-elect Alfred Mutai.
