After a tense week of hearings of the Presidential election petition filed by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, the Supreme Court bench headed by Martha Koome is delivering its judgement.
Lawyers from all camps enjoined in the petition had made their submissions beginning with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua who filed the petition demanding the former declared President-elect or have the election results nullified.
A team of counsels representing the former Prime Minister argued that there was widespread malpractices during the August 9 General Election.
The main respondents in the case including the Deputy President William Ruto and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), however, maintained that the election was fair and transparent
