Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga was among the notable political figures who witnessed the wedding of Siaya governor, James Orengo's, daughter on Friday, October 7.
Raila donned his signature blue suit as Lavender Orengo tied the knot with her husband, Albert.
The private ceremony was held at a reclusive location in Karen in Nairobi.
From photos seen by Kenyans.co.ke, Orengo and his wife, Betty Kaari Murungi, walked Lavender down the aisle before she took her vows.
The garden wedding was also conducted in line with Christian doctrines, as a priest read the vows.
Lavender wore a white sleeves gown while the bridegroom wore a classic slim fit single brace suit and brogue official shoes, matching their wedding theme.
Among other leaders who graced their holy matrimony included MPs Otiende Amollo (Rarieda), Elisha Odhiambo (Gem) and Samuel Atandi (Alego Usonga)
The private wedding follows a traditional ceremony which was held at their homestead in Ramunde, Ugenya Constituency, where Orengo encouraged the two to remain close friends throughout their union.
Orengo and his wife Betty have seven children, three boys and four girls - Michael, Bob, Steven, Zeni, Josephine, Lavender and Lynette Orengo.
Despite keeping his children away from the media limelight, Orengo has always celebrated their achievements publicly.
On July 3, 2020, Orengo congratulated his son Bob Orengo after he was admitted to the bar, following in his footsteps.
