Mombasa ranks as the third cheapest city for tourists according to the Long Haul Report from the United Kingdom Post Office.

The city, located along the Kenyan Coastline, came third behind Cape Town in South Africa and Hoi An in Vietnam.

The report sort to identify the prices of what holiday goers need and their costs in South Africa including a cup of coffee, a bottle of water, suncream and a three-course meal for two.

The total for the four items averaged Ksh10,342 (£77.41) in Mombasa compared to Cape Town whose charges came to Ksh9,154 (£68.49) and Hon Ai which was at Ksh9,060 (£67.78).

Mombasa is to beaches what oxygen is to air. With palm-lined beaches, crystal clear waters and coral reefs, there’s something for everyone.
