New details have emerged on the mysterious disappearance of two Indian nationals and their driver in Nairobi.

Former Balaji Telefilms Chief Executive Zulfiqar Khan, Mohamed Zaid Sami Kidwai and their driver Nicodemus Mwania went missing in mid-July after leaving a popular club in Westlands at 11.53 pm.

Hours later, the three were reported missing. The trio has since been missing for over 70 days.

Reports indicated that the two Indian nationals were in the country to join President William Ruto's election campaign Information and Communications Technology (ICT) team.

Police officers privy to the matter intimated to the press that the CCTV footage had been retrieved from the scene of abduction in a bid to retrace the steps of the missing foreigners.

In addition, a section of detectives based in Lang'ata was also detained to aid in investigations. The detained officers were ordered to hand over a file with their findings to a new team of sleuths.

Khan's family has been urging the police to conclude the investigations in a bid to locate their kin. The family hired lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi who obtained orders for the trio to be produced in court. However, on August 4, the case was mentioned and the three were yet to be traced.

The family has since urged acting Inspector General of Police Noor Gabow to handle the matter and expedite the investigations.

The news of Khan's disappearance was broken by Avinash Pandey, the CEO of ABP Network, who shared the information on his Twitter account and tagged the Prime Minister of India as well as the Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson in the South Asian Nation.

"My friend and ex-colleague Zulfiqar Khan (Ex-SVP Star TV) is missing for over 70 days from Kenya. Praying for his safety and hoping to see him back home soon," Pandey stated.

Khan has 19 years of experience in broadcast and digital media under his belt having had stints at companies like HOOQ India, EROS Now, and Star TV.

The media magnate amassed over ten years of experience, leading and driving transformational revenue growth in both start-up and large and complex organizations.
