John Njoroge, a dairy farmer based in Trans Nzoia County, gifted President William Ruto a 1,500-kilogram bull in recognition of his 30-day initiatives in office.
Njoroge - who sold a similar bull to former President Uhuru Kenyatta at Ksh 1 million, describe Ruto as his hero.
He explained that the president crafted policies to protect small-scale farmers despite being in office for less than 50 days.
"It's really painful as we are struggling. Those who were cultivating 20 acres had to farm half of it as fertiliser was expensive.
"Today, I celebrate him as my shujaa because he has come to our rescue," he stated.
The 1500kg bull was transported to the President's home in Sugoi, Uasin Gishu county.
Additionally, Njoroge also gifted the president aminal feeds for the bull.
Njoroge went viral in 2018 after selling two bulls to Uhuru and Narok senator, Ledama Ole Kina, at the Narok Agricultural Show.
Uhuru stated that he was impressed by the farmer's agricultural adventure and the development of the bulls.
In 2021, Njoroge was back in the spotlight after he nearly quit farming, citing the high cost of living in the country.
“Despite the fall in milk prices, the cost of feeds kept escalating, and it became a real challenge to sustain the animals.
“I had to hawk my milk at Ksh19 per litre. I was so frustrated,” he stated.
