Renowned NTV investigative reporter, Dennis Okari, announced his exit from the station after eight years.
In a statement dated Monday, December 5, Okari disclosed that he had parted ways with the media house under the Nation Media Group (NMG) umbrella.
The crime reporter added that he was moving on to work on other projects. However, Okari did not indicate his next station or details of the project.
Further, he thanked his colleagues for supporting him during his tenure at the media house, adding that they were talented, passionate and dedicated practitioners.
"My assignment at NTV has come to an end. I am grateful to God for the opportunity to serve. I gave it my all, but I couldn't have done it without the help of an incredible team and an amazing audience.
"It is time to move on to something bigger and greater than myself," he stated.
The investigative journalist joined NTV in 2013 as a crime reporter. After a year, he left the station to join British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
Okari rejoined NTV in 2015 until December 1, when he announced his exit.
While at Nation Media Group (NMG), he also served as a news anchor and Investigations Editor.
Okari's exit barely comes days after the company fired prime-time news anchor Mark Masai among other staff.
Nation Media company has been readjusting its workforce owing to the harsh economic climate that has affected revenue for most media outlets.
The changes were also effected to streamline its operations in line with the changing digital landscape.
Insiders indicated that more journalists would leave the station in the coming weeks.
