In addition, the four spent over three hours together while having dinner and drinks. They had lengthy discussions till 1.00 am before they vacated the premises.

In the wee hours of Sunday morning, January 8, the couple went to their home, whereby they reportedly slept in separate rooms after a disagreement over a Ksh2 billion loan the politician was planning to take.

"According to a police report, the wife declined to guarantee her husband the loan.

"The couple had some domestic differences since the reportee had refused to guarantee the deceased a loan of Ksh2 billion which he intended to take to open a business," read the report in part.

The DCI detectives also interrogated the security guards manning the premises at the time the couple arrived home.

New security personnel has since been posted to his home.

The police report indicated that the wife discovered the husband's lifeless body after noticing that she could not hear him snoring.

"They called a doctor from Karen Hospital who confirmed the death at around 9:02 am. The scene was visited by the police and processed. The body had no visible injuries," the police indicated.

The autopsy is slated to take place in the coming week, as confirmed by Kiambi's family.
