Azimio presidential chief agent Saitabao Kanchory claimed that President William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza planted spies within Raila Odinga's inner circle in a bid to tame him.

Speaking during an interview on Spice FM on Thursday, January 26, Kanchory alleged that a number of Raila allies were misleading him at the behest of the Kenya Kwanza administration.

In particular, he questioned why Raila had called for rallies on a Sunday yet they would not be effective.

However, he did not mention those involved in the sabotage scheme.

"Ruto said that he would plan and organise the opposition. I take that very seriously because it also involves those people you talk to. They are sent to you.

"When Raila talks about Sunday rallies, what will they accomplish? It has to be a Monday. Make it daily. Those are instructions the insiders are taking from another side," Kanchory alleged.

On the other hand, he gave an instance where critical information about their whistleblower report was made public despite an agreement that things would be put under the radar.

"For example, when Baba called some of us and told us about the whistleblower, that information was not supposed to be public until a certain point. In a matter of days and weeks, the information is viral. It tells you that the inner circle is leaking," he stated.

Consequently, he advised Raila to change his team if he wanted to succeed with his anti-Ruto action plans.

Kanchory has openly expressed dissent over Raila's latest move. He noted that there was no clear plan.

This was after the ODM boss indicated that Azimio would not recognise the legitimacy of Ruto's presidency.

"We call on Kenyans to resist and demand the removal of the punitive taxes that have led to punitive costs of basic products and services including Unga, milk, sugar, school books, fuel, electricity, bus fare, paraffin and school fees.

"From today, we call on every Kenyan buying electricity to take a keen look at the statement and see how much of their money actually goes into tokens, taxes and how long we are going to live like this," the ODM boss announced at a rally at Kamukunji.

"Raila Odinga should give a clear way forward or hold his peace. Kenyans don't have time for games," Kanchory stated on January 23, immediately after the Kamukunji rally.
