Dr Barbra Odudu-Magoha, on Thursday, February 9, recalled her dream a day after the demise of her husband, the late professor George Magoha.

During the late Magoha’s requiem mass, Barbra intimated that in the dream, they had a conversation with her husband whereby he sought to know her thoughts on what he would have done differently.

While recalling the moment, Barbra affirmed that the former Education Cabinet Secretary pointed out that he had done the best for his family.

The wife breathed a huge sigh upon waking up as she whispered," I set you free."

"The following day, I dreamt when he pulled a sit and asked; what do you think I would have done in this situation? It was best for you and it was best for me. I woke up and stated I set you free. That is the story of George Albert Magoha," she noted.

Reminiscing about his final two hours, Barbra stated that Magoha suffered four heart attacks before his demise. She noted that she turned from a wife to a widow within those two hours.

"He was okay, he was not sick. On January 24, 2023,  he went out and bought things in preparation for his brother's funeral. At 2:00 pm, he told me he was chesty, so I told him to rest. At 2:30 pm, he asked me for a cough mixture and I pointed it out to him," she narrated.

Magoha's widow pointed out how he called out in a stressful voice, to which she found him collapsed on the floor.

"As I was ironing to go to work, I heard him calling me, he called out in a stressful voice. When I went, he had collapsed. His tongue was coming out and I pressed it down for some fresh air. I called the workers who intervened and by that time he had woken up. During that moment, he stated that he wanted to see his son."

She noted that Magoha's best friend, Prof. Walter Mwanda, also arrived to take his blood pressure and in a bid to assess his condition.

"When I called my son, he was operating (on surgery), and he left it for someone else and came to see him. They talked, and my son started making calls.

"As the professor came, Magoha urged him to take his pressure before the second heart attack hit him. It was also stressful for my son when he got a third heart attack, knowing the implications of a third attack. When he had a fourth attack, he passed in a span of two hours," she recalled.

Magoha and Barbra were married for 41 years and blessed with a son, Dr. Michael Magoha.
