The Kenyan coastline is among the major tourist attraction contributing to the multi-million tourism industry rivaled by the vast wildlife.

Tourists in the region can get front-row seats to hippos, crocodiles, fish eagles, and endangered turtles among other animals. They are advised to be cautious to avoid being attacked by some of the animals.

Kipini area is home to at least 200 bird species including African Crake, Pallid Honeyguide, Green Tinkerbird, Flycatcher, Saddle-billed Stork, etc.

The sandy beach connects with the blue and brown waters that extend to the horizon.

Kipini is only a two-hour drive from Malindi, and tourists are attracted by the green tropical forest including palm trees that engulfs the beach.

Additionally, tourists get a chance to watch fishermen at work and race to the shores with their nets full of fish.

According to the residents, the area is beloved by new couples who get to marvel at the numerous sand dunes

Unfortunately, due to climate change that has resulted in higher temperatures, the residents complained about rising water levels.

They argued that over time more land will be subsumed by the ocean and many will be left homeless.

"I have moved my home twice due to the movement of the ocean in the last seven years. I am afraid as it seems to move closer each passing day," one of the residents lamented.
