Azimio La Umoja, party leader, Raila Odinga, on Thursday, March 9, stepped out in combat regalia ahead of his grand announcement on the opposition's next course of action.

In a series of photos shared by Odinga's inner circle, the former Premier dressed in brown khaki military-like attire with a matching baseball cap.

Odinga accompanied the track and shirt with brown ankle boots as he took strides within his compound before leaving for the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation offices.

His well-pressed long-sleeved pilot shirt had multiple pockets, including two breast pockets.

The dominating brown colour was split with three blue badges. On the shirt's right shoulder is an Azimio badge with the famous 'R' (Raila) symbol and five redstarts.

He also had two name badges written #Ishawezekana and 'Baba' on his right and left breast pockets, respectively.

On the front side of his cap, was a second Azimio badge with his name and that of the coalition party imprinted on either side.

The trousers also had multiple pockets. Raila, however, did not wear any accessories to complete his style.

Odinga promised to address the nation after the 14-day ultimatum he issued to President William Ruto lapsed on Wednesday, March 8. He had initially threatened to call for mass action should the government fail to meet the opposition's demands.

Azimio asked President William Ruto to urgently address three key issues affecting Kenyans  - the high cost of living, unemployment and the spike in the cost of basic commodities such as maize flour.

UDA secretary general Cleophas Malala, however, countered the demands with his own. Malala pressed the opposition to address claims that they were part of politicians who allegedly stole Ksh16 billion a few days before the August 2022 General Election.

Malala further demanded an immediate investigation into claims by Controller of Budget, Margaret Nyakang'o, who alleged that former Treasury Cabinet Secretary, Ukur Yatani, coerced her to release Ksh15 billion to state offices.

He also insisted that an audit of all the capital projects undertaken during President (Rtd) Uhuru Kenyatta reign.
