Joyce Naserian, a Nairobi-based woman who was jailed for three months after being arrested for shouting in the CBD on Thursday, March 16, was offered a job after her release.

In a statement, comedian Eric Omondi noted that she was offered a job after her release was secured from the Lang'ata Womens Prison.

Additionally, various beauty companies offered to give her a makeover since the businesswoman set up her own social media accounts to kick off her new journey in marketing.

"We have released Joyce Naserian from Langata Women's Prison. She was to spend three months in prison for a petty offence with a fine of only Ksh10,000. She can now go back to her children.

"Believe it or not, this is Joyce Naserian. It is possible to lift one another only if we unite. Joyce will be offered a job and a new lifeline," read the statement in part.

Naserian - who had appealed to Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja to intervene in her case - also shared photos of her new look and thanked various companies that had come to her rescue.

"Thank you very much for pampering me and dressing me up. I really do appreciate it," she stated.

Naserian was arrested by county askaris after she shouted calling out to a customer to come to their shop.

Upon being arraigned in Court, she was given a fine of Ksh10,000. However, she was unable to raise the money and was sentenced to three months.

"I was working in town at Old Nation House, next to the fire station, and when I shouted to call a customer, city council officers came and arrested me and took me to Central Police Station,"

Her story was then aired on Inooro TV and drew a lot of attention from Kenyans who called for her release.

She had also pleaded with Sakaja to intervene in her case as she was unable to raise the fine.
