The mother of pastor Elizabeth Wanjiru called upon President William Ruto to intervene in the case on Friday, March 30.
She spoke during the burial of the pastor noting that she was heartbroken that nothing had been done to apprehend the main suspect, a popular artist.
She also detailed that strange people were frequenting her house but she was unable to report the matter to the police since they had proven ineffective.
"I plead with President William Ruto to intervene in the Kasarani area so we can get justice for my daughter where her body was disposed off before it was transferred to the morgue. I plead with the president because he is a hustle like me. My daughter was killed while looking for her money," she appealed.
"If you fight for my daughter, you and your deputy Rigathi Gachagua will prove that you care for the hustlers of this nation," she added.
The mother reiterated that the artist had constantly sent death threats to the deceased.
On the other hand, the sister urged the public to stop sharing photos of the deceased online as they come to terms with her death.
"Please spare us and give us time to heal. At this point, we are morning her death and not celebrating her life, kindly give us some time," she added.
She added that her sister was a respected pastor and the photos did not represent her well.
"She had told me she was getting Ksh700,000 from the artists but she was scared she may not return. I called her and reported the matter to the police," the sister stated.
The deceased was initially reported to have committed suicide in the artist's house on March 18.
Notably, Kasarani Police Station was on the spot following numerous murder cases reported that were alleged to be suicide.
Police Inspector General Japhet Koome on March 26 acknowledged the spike of people 'jumping' off buildings to their death around the Kasarani area.
"When anyone dies, we identify it as sudden death under the Criminal Procedure Code. The police then start an inquiry to determine whether it is murder or suicide," the IG clarified.
