NTV news anchor James Smart was on Wednesday, April 5 appointed as the Managing Editor for newsroom production in changes effected by the Nation Media Group (NMG).
In the restructuring, the organisation's multimedia editor Oliver Mathenge was appointed as the Managing Editor in charge of Audiences and Engagement.
The announcement was made by the organisation after a meeting that was chaired by the group’s Editorial Director Joe Ageyo.
Smart was tasked with ensuring the timely production of new items.
The With All Due Respect show host was also put in charge of the editorial branding including visuals for elections and sporting events.
Mathenge, on the other hand, was tasked with leading the organisation's engagement with the audience as they integrate into the digital media.
“He has been very instrumental in driving our digital agenda. He is going to be our chief evangelist in this whole idea we got. Once again congratulations," Ageyo announced.
