ANC Party Announces Leadership Changes, Relocates to New Headquarters

Amani National Congress (ANC) on Tuesday, April 18, announced leadership changes and the relocation of its party headquarters.

The party which was founded by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi made sweeping changes to its top party leadership structure.

A notable change was the position of Secretary General which has changed hands thrice in just three months.

“This is to notify the general public and party members of the change in ANC party leadership and the relocation of the party headquarters to 961 Riverside Drive, off Riverside Mews, House No. 15,” the Party announced.

Before the relocation, the party was headquartered at Amani House, Loyangalani Drive, Off Convent Dr, Nairobi.

On leadership structure, Lamu Governor Issa Timamy retained his position as the party leader a position he assumed on October 27, 2022, after the resignation of Mudavadi to take up an executive role in the government.

Beatrice Adagala who was announced as Secretary General for the party on Friday, March 10, relinquished the post and assumed the second deputy party leader role.

ANC appointed Emuhaya Member of Parliament Omboko Milemba as the Acting Secretary General.

In 2023 alone, the party had three secretary generals; Information Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Simon Gikuru, Beatrice Adagala and now Omboko Milemba.

Shinyalu MP Fredrick Ikana was appointed to serve as ANC’s Kakamega chairperson.

The party further appointed the following as national youth league leaders; Ameera Abdulahi (Chairperson), Martin Lunalo (Vice Chairperson) and Francis Okwara Mukhwana (Secretary).

Others include; Alexa Nzioki (Treasurer), Truphena Asembo (Youth Coordinator) and Fella Miheso (Organizing Secretary).
