Former President and the Jubilee Party Leader, Uhuru Kenyatta, on Saturday, April 29, called for a special National Delegates Conference.

In a notice seen by Kenyans.co.ke, Uhuru called Jubilee Party delegates for a meeting scheduled for May 22, 2023 at the Bomas of Kenya.

Among the meeting's agenda will be to review Jubilee Party policies which had led to a scuffle between the two factions, one allied to Uhuru and the other, to President William Ruto.

The delegates will also formulate new policies expected to form part of the Jubilee Party constitution in the near future.

NDC will also receive a status report from the National Executive Committee (NEC) and consider and approve any other arising matters.

Jubilee Party National Delegates Conference will squally approve new party policies that will be presented to deal with perennial bickering among the top leadership.

As promised, Uhuru is expected to take drastic decisions and make far-reaching changes after some party officials blatantly ignored his warning.

On Tuesday, April 25, Jubilee Party was reportedly ordered to vacate the new Kileleshwa headquarters after the faction led by East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP Kanini Kega differed with that of former Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni.

"Today, as you are aware, goons descended on Dikdik Gardens due to your occupation of my premises.

"Your tenancy has exposed our neighbours and neighbourhood to unwarranted insecurity," wrote E.W Mbote, the owner of the building hosting Jubilee Party.

However, Kioni told Kenyans.co.ke that he was unaware of such notice and that the party would remain put.

The two groups hurled stones at each amidst police intervention, forcing Uhuru to rush to the headquarters.

Kega and Nominated Member of Parliament Sabina Chege and Eldas MP Adan Keynan had accused Uhuru of ignoring their concerns over the management of the Jubilee Party. The three also accused embattled Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni of refusing to step down.

"We want you to accept that you are the former SG and this party has a constitution, and please don't be a nuisance to the neighbours here.

"This is a highly respected party please don't cause mayhem and destruction to the people here," Keynan claimed.

While responding to the trio, Uhuru stated that he was aware of the wrangles and, would chart the way forward.
