KRA Announces Jobs of Ksh 53K Salary for D+ Holders; How to Apply

Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), on Tuesday, May 9, announced job opportunities for job seekers nationwide.

The taxman unveiled vacancies for D+ (plus) holders with up to Ksh53,500 gross salary.

All job seekers between 18 and 35 years were urged to submit their applications before Tuesday, May 23, 2023, to secure slots.

The taxman sought employees to serve as the Revenue Service Assistant responsible for monitoring traders' issuance of e-TIMS receipts, actively engaging customers who purchase items from VAT-registered taxpayers or excisable items to confirm that the traders/taxpayers are compliant and monitoring compliance with excise regulations.

Other responsibilities included preparing weekly and monthly reports on ongoing cases, issuing seizure notices for impounded goods for excise, interception, and verifying tax receipts issued by traders/taxpayers.

Guidelines

Applicants were urged to submit all their submissions online per the provided application guidelines.

KRA advised that interested candidates can apply for the position after successfully registering in the Authority's e-recruitment portal.

Some requirements included a valid Certificate of Good Conduct, copies of the KRA Pin certificate, NHIF, NSSF, and ID cards

"The Authority does not charge any fee at any stage of the recruitment process. Those who had applied in the earlier advertisement need not re-apply.

How to Apply

All applicants must register in the KRA e-recruitment portal through erecruitment.kra.go.ke/login and click the Register button.

After the registration, you will receive an email enabling you to confirm your email address and complete the registration.

Then log into erecruitment.kra.go.ke/login, enter your username and password, and log in for the system to open the Application Cockpit.

On the Application Cockpit, head to the Candidate Profile and update your profile with the relevant information, then click on the Overview and Release tab.

To view the open job postings click on the Employment Opportunities on the Applicant Cockpit page, select the Job Search tab, and the Start button to view available vacancies.

When you identify the job you are interested in, click the Apply button and fill in the mandatory fields.

"To complete the application process, click the Send Application Now button after reviewing and accepting the Data Privacy Statement," KRA concluded.
