The death toll in Mombasa County rose to nine people on Tuesday morning after two people, a man and his daughter were found buried in a landslide in Mikindani and one person swept by floods in Bamburi.
This followed the death of six family members on Monday after a hospital wall collapsed and fell on their house.

According to witnesses, the six among them four children were trapped in the rubble after a wall adjacent to their house caved in.
Residents claimed that the wall was feeble and toppled over following heavy rains that had pounded the area in the past few weeks.
President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday sent a message of condolence the families, relatives, and friends of the deceased.
“My thoughts are with you at this time of sorrow and grief. It is my prayer that the Almighty God will give you the strength and courage to bear the tragic loss,” President Kenyatta stated.
