9 People Suffer Serious Burns in Botched Raid on Illicit Brew

Nine people suffered serious injuries when a raid on illicit brew went horribly wrong.

Residents of Nairobi’s Kayole estate had raided an illegitimate alcohol den alleged to belong to one of the community leaders in the area when tragedy struck.

One of the men struck a match stick and the methanol filled space blew up, setting the nine men on fire.

A truck transporting methanol to the premises was also razed down.

Five of the men are admitted at a hospital where they continue receiving treatment for extensive burns.
