“He is a versatile, dynamic player who will bring a lot of different attributes to our squad, having already amassed a great deal of experience at both club and international level at a young age," Mark Hughes - the club manager, stated.

Notably, Oduor's new manager, Hughes, has managed Southampton, Stoke City and Manchester City.

The winger was excited to play in the English Football League Two club, having transferred Barnsley, a League One club.

He noted that his three-year stay at the club in West Yorkshire would help him develop skills and progress in his career.

“I am here to help us ascend the leagues in my three-year contract, hopefully. I look forward to kicking it off.

“My game is about excitement. I like to get on the ball a lot and make things happen, creating chances for myself and my teammates. That is what I am all about," he stated.

While his salary was not publicised, the average income for players in the club stands at Ksh1.6 million per month.

Oduor debuted for Kenya in October 2020, when Kenya triumphed over Zambia in a  2-1 thriller.
