Reports indicate that the bystander only sustained minor injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The driver sustained head injuries and was hospitalised at the same medical facility.

Occupants of the building that was hit escaped unhurt as the pillars prevented the lorry from the inner walls of the entertainment joint.

Preliminary reports show that the driver was allegedly drunk and authorities have launched investigations into the matter.

The country has witnessed a string of grisly road accidents that have claimed lives and left hundreds with injuries.

The video attracted the attention of Kenyans online, with many calling drivers to observe traffic rules.

"This is how fast death can knock. Quite unfortunate. The traffic police and even National Transportation Safety Authority (NTSA) should inspect these trucks also," Njoroge Wa Njeri stated.

According to NTSA accident data, 2,318 Kenyans lost their lives in accidents between January 1 to July 5, 2023.
