National Assembly Leader of Majority Kimani Ichung'wah on Friday, July 14 demanded the withdrawal of former President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's government cars.

Speaking during the launch of development projects in Nakuru County, the Kikuyu lawmaker lamented that the duo was using government resources for anti-government demonstrations.

While in the company of Ruto, he lamented that the government was going at losses given the damages to the vehicles.

He also alleged that Uhuru took most of the vehicles at State House after leaving office proposing for the same to be confiscated.

"You can no longer ride on our backs to undermine a legitimate government in our democracy. You (Uhuru) should accept defeat. We do not fear you," the lawmaker stated.

"All those vehicles should be confiscated."

Raila's vehicles have been allegedly damaged in recent protests by the police. Uhuru, on the other hand, is yet to attend the protest.

Ruto steered clear of the matter. However, he opted to hit out and his former allies for causing disruption in the country and sabotaging the economy.

The Head of State affirmed that the government would be prepared to deal with the scheduled protests for the coming week.

"These protests will not happen. Listen to me carefully. You cannot use unconstitutional means to look for power in Kenya. Wait for 2027. I will beat you again," Ruto asserted.

Meanwhile, Azimio announced three-day anti-government protests set to start on Wednesday, July 19.

"Going forward, the peaceful protests will now be held on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday next week, in line with requests from the public to include three days of activity," read the statement in part.
