Saku Member of Parliament, Dido Ali Raso, expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and extended his well-wishes for a speedy recovery to those who were injured.

"A very sad incident indeed. Our hearts go out to those who lost their lives and their loved ones in the most unfortunate circumstances," he stated.

Four passengers lost their lives while the three who sustained serious injuries were rushed to Naivasha Level 4 Hospital.

The government has sounded the alarm over the increasing number of road accidents in the country.

Between January and June 2023, the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) recorded a total of 2,124 road accident fatalities.

The agency has consistently urged motorists to be cautious and follow traffic rules to avert road carnage.
