Two men who had withdrawn money from a local bank in Westlands, Nairobi, are counting their losses after falling victim to a well-choreographed robbery captured on surveillance cameras.
According to the footage dated Thursday, August 10, the victims stopped at a local petrol station along Kiambu Road after visiting the local bank in Westlands to process financial matters.
The victims alighted and left an envelope inside their parked car, unaware of the impending danger.
Minutes later, the gang arrived at the filling station and executed their well-coordinated plan. One of them got out of the vehicle at a distance and headed towards the parked car, pretending to be engrossed in a phone conversation.
In moments, the alleged perpetrator managed to break into the targeted car while his associates scanned the vicinity and maintained vigilance.
After searching the vehicle's glove compartment and seats, the accused walked away with what appeared to be an envelope.
Calmly and composed, he returned after a few seconds and opened the driver's door to ransack the car further.
It was yet to be clear whether the victims filed a report with the police.
