Popular comedian Zainab Abdalla, known by her stage name Zainab Zeddy, on Thursday shared a distressing incident involving poor management of her daughter's health at a school in Nairobi.

In a recent interview, Zainab revealed that her daughter had become unwell during her time at school.

Regrettably, the school administered an incorrect prescription for her daughter's condition and failed to communicate this important information to her as the parent, as per the standard protocol.

Upon returning home during the holidays, Zainab noticed visible signs of illness on her daughter's face and neck.

This prompted her to inquire about what had happened at school.

Her daughter subsequently disclosed that the school's medical team had provided her with an incorrect prescription, resulting in her suffering from diarrhoea.

The comedian shared that her ailing daughter was later diagnosed with Anaemia after seeking medical attention outside of the school.

Comedian Zainab later visited the school to file a complaint.

Initially, she encountered resistance and was denied access. However, with persistence, she managed to meet with the matron to discuss her daughter's health.

Zainab emphasised the importance of her daughter's special diet and prescribed medicine from the doctor.

Despite her efforts, Zainab mentioned that her daughter was still denied the special diet she required.

She even sent money to the school matron for the purchase of fruits, but her daughter reported that this request had not been fulfilled.

In another incident, the comedian revealed that a stranger who had visited the school called her at night and informed her that her daughter was ailing prompting her to rush to school the following day.

After getting to the school, she was first denied access with the school maintaining that her daughter was well and pretending to be sick.

She nonetheless, insisted to be granted access to the school to see her daughter, who was eventually brought to her after a bout of arguments with the school's administration.

After seeing her mother, Zainab's daughter disclosed her condition in the presence of the principal, matron, and teacher at the school, as they persisted in believing that she was feigning illness.

Zainab promptly withdrew her daughter from the school and took her back to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with H. pylori, a bacterial stomach infection that had been causing her vomiting and diarrhoea.

The comedian also mentioned that her daughter has since been transferred to a day school and is preparing to take her final secondary school exams this year.

Notably, Comedian Zainab has previously revealed her struggle with depression, the loss of her child, and a failed marriage.

Nevertheless, she emphasised that despite her differences with her partner, they shared responsibilities, with the father taking care of hospital bills while she handled school-related matters.
