The Malindi Courts on Monday dropped the case filed against Jubilee Party Deputy Organising Secretary in which the blogger was accused of making malicious posts across her social media platforms.
In a statement, the digital strategist revealed that the judge closed the case after the prosecution failed to build a watertight case and charge her in court.
The prosecution had instead requested more time from the court to gather evidence relating to the charges leveled against her.
According to the digital strategist, the judge also ordered the police to hand back the electronic gadgets taken from Njoroge when she was arrested on July 22.
The Digital Strategist was arrested in Watamu, Malindi while in the company of a friend and a driver.
At the time, the police in a statement claimed the trio were apprehended for being in possession of drugs.
One of Pauline's attorneys; Soyinka Lempaa speaking to Kenyans.co.ke refuted police claims terming the charges trumped up and a political witchunt.
She was subsequently arraigned in court on July 24, where the charge sheet was amended from possession of narcotics to sending posts amounting to hate speech.
During the arrest, her mobile phone and laptop were confiscated.
In August, while asking for her electronics to be returned, she disclosed that Ksh302,842 had been withdrawn from her accounts after the confiscation.
Subsequently, her lawyers revealed that they would be filing a case accusing the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) of stealing from their client's accounts.
"Consequently the defence also applied that investigation be done by DCI alongside the current investigation and a report be filed in court on the grounds that; before the theft, the DCI officers were the only third parties who had actual possession and access to the said Bank Cards before the theft," she explained then.
The digital strategist has not revealed her next steps that the case against her has been closed.
