TV 47 Poaches Citizen TV Business Manager Jared Ouma

Cape Media Limited, the parent company of TV 47, has appointed Jared Ouma, former Royal Media Service (RMS) Business Manager, as its Commercial Director.

In a notice by Wilson Mbugua, TV 47's Chief Operations Director, Ouma will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth and success.

In his role as Commercial Director, he will be responsible for overseeing our commercial strategy, advertising partnerships, and revenue generation efforts.

He will also work closely with the sales and marketing teams to identify new business oportunities and develop strategic partnerships.

While speaking about the new role, Ouma said that his proven track record in the media industry will play a key role in driving the company's growth.

"I am honoured to be a part of the Cape Media Limited team. I believe in the power of he media to influence, inform and entertain," he stated.

"I'm committed to helping our company achieve even greater success in ever-changing media landscape."

According to Mbugua, Ouma's new role represents a step forward for the Media House as it strengthens its position to edge out the competition the digital industry.

Before joining media, Ouma has worked in the banking industry with Standbic Bank and Barclays Bank. He specializes in data analysis, Artificial Intelligence and media advertising. 

His appointment comes as TV 47 has been on a hiring spree to boost the Media House's operations that are undergoing a digital shift.

Other journalists who have shifted to TV 47 include former KTN News anchor Fred Indimuli, former KTN sports anchor Ahmed Bahajj, former TUKO Managing Director Gibendi Ramenya and news anchor Mwanaisha Chidzuga.

Recently, former Citizen TV news anchor Willis Raburu and radio host Alex Mwakideu joined the station, forming part of the big names acquired by the station.
