Speaking during the interview, Uhuru expressed his gratitude for the warm birthday wishes he had received from Kenyans across the board.

In a light moment with the show host, Uhuru declined to talk more about his age milestone.

"Stop asking about my age, I am glad about the years that God has given me.

"Yes, life starts at 40 and I can guarantee you that mine passed a long time ago. I pray that God gives me a long life, good health, and peace in our country which is now 60 years as well," he stated.

When asked to choose, which song he would prefer the host to play for him, Uhuru, an ardent reggae fan settled on I Got You, Babe, by his favourite band - UB40.

During the interview, Uhuru also declined to reveal where he has been or what he has been doing despite being pressed to reveal more.

The former President has not spoken in months. His last appearance was on July 24 when he met with media house editors and addressed several issues including his relationship with President William Ruto and the raid at his son's house.

At the time, Uhuru stated that he would be laying low to spend quality time with his family.

However, since then, he has made several lowkey trips including one to Uganda in his capacity as the peace facilitator in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
