Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers are looking for a gang that drugged the brother of Uganda National Assembly Speaker Annet Anita and robbed him of a new Toyota Prado he was delivering from the Mombasa Port.

Police reports show that the man regained consciousness at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) where he was taken after the incident.

The speaker's brother Wilson Okello was supposed to deliver the new car to his sister in Uganda, and relatives got concerned after he went for hours without answering calls.

Okello told the police that he picked up the car in Mombasa and upon reaching Voi he was flagged by four people including two women who claimed they are pastors and were heading to Kisumu for prayers.

According to the driver, the four offered him a soda mid-journey which he took and from there he cannot recall what happened.

An ambulance picked him up along Mombasa Road with just his boxers on and rushed him to KNH.

Police stated that the thugs escaped with the car and other belongings.

Detectives have launched a manhunt for the suspects.

Cases of robbers using female accomplices to drug unsuspecting victims have been on the rise in the country.

The drugs are normally laced in drinks which makes the victims unable to control their decisions after taking.

The criminals then steal all valuables before escaping.

Some victims have died from the incidents due to overdose of the drugs which the criminals buy from local drug stores.
