The Valuers Registration Board has suspended four land valuers over malpractice that were reported by Kenyans.

In a notice dated Thursday, the Board under the Ministry of Lands led by Cabinet Secretary Alice Wahome noted that the four had their licences suspended on January 1.

According to the notice, the suspension will take effect for a year, with the four being unable to practice during that period.

Members of the public were, therefore, cautioned against engaging the four officials for any land valuation.

"This is to inform the general public of the suspension of registration of the valuers for a period of one year commencing January 1, 2024, to 31 December 31 2024," read the report in part.

However, the board did not mention the specific offences that were committed by the four officials.

On the other hand, Kenyans with any concerns concerning other related malpractice of other officials to reach out to the board through mail via: Registrar@vrb.or.ke or Secretariat@vrb.or.ke.

"Enquiries can also be sent to the Board Secretariat at Valuers Registration Board, Ardhi House, Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development, Ist Ngong Avenue, 3rd Floor, Room No. 313. PO Box 30089-00100, Nairobi," read the notice in part.
