A week after Kenyans complained about the type of 4,400 jobs advertised by the government through the National Employment Authority Integrated Management System (NEAIMS), the State has updated the job pool.
Kenyans had complained that almost all foreign jobs were for housemaids and wondered why the government could not negotiate for skilled jobs.
A spot-check by Kenyans.co.ke revealed that the NEAIMS portal has since been updated to include skilled jobs in various fields such as engineering and technical courses.
Jobs on offer at NEAIMS Portal
According to the State, there are 23 vacancies for Spa Therapists with the application deadline set at June 30.
Successful candidates who will be selected will work in Qatar on a 2-year rolling contract.
The government has further advertised positions for technicians in different fields including; electrical, audio-visual, and fabrication as well as in the plumbing industry.
Again, Qatar through various travel agencies has applied for engineering vacancies with interested applicants required to have a Bachelor in Engineering (either Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical or Electronics options).
Kenyans with a Diploma in Plant and Services Engineering can apply for plant operator positions in Saudi Arabia.
Graduates with at least a Diploma in Hotel and Hospitality Management or Diploma in Hotel and Catering Management (ICM) can apply for food services supervisory positions in Qatar.
Other jobs being on offer include; Medical Technologist, Medical Technician, and Radiology Technician and Sonographer.
