President William Ruto appeared to differ with his security detail on Sunday after the officers manhandled a man who disrupted his speech seeking to engage with the Head of State.

The Head of State was at the dais in Kakamega concluding his speech when the unidentified youth approached, his right hand hoisted in the air while holding a framed Kenyan government emblem.

Immediately, the presidential detail consisting of 5 officers rushed and lifted the man off the ground, taking him away from the dais.

Due to the forceful way the security officers lifted him, the sandals worn by the youthful man came off while he was resisting.

The Head of State, therefore, directed the security not to manhandle him but to escort him to the VIP tent where he would engage him in a conversation once he concluded his speech.

"Haya, wacha aketi hapa. Wewe mlete hapa. Leta yeye hapa. Mlete hapa aketi nitamuongelesha baadaye. Asante sana," he told the team

(Alright, let him sit here (stated Ruto while pointing towards the VIP tent where his chair was). Bring him here. Let him sit (in the tent) I will talk to him later. Thank you.)

During his speech at the event shortly after attending interdenominational prayers, the Head of State announced that he was scheduled to fly to Japan in the coming days.

He noted that during his Japan trip, he would seek funding for a critical, undisclosed project. Prime & Foreign Affairs CS Musalia Mudavadi will arrive in Tokyo before Ruto to lay the groundwork for the State visit.

Ruto also rushed through his speech, revealing to the crowd that he would be hosting Polish President Andrzej Duda at State House in Nairobi.

The two leaders were expected to hold talks centering on a Ksh8 billion project to boost the fortunes of local dairy farmers.

"We are heading to Japan because we have a program valued at $1 billion (Ksh160 billion) and Japan is helping us and we must plan properly," he stated.

"Today, we have a Polish President coming to Kenya and we have a programme of Ksh8 billion centering around dairy which we will complete between today and tomorrow."

He also revealed that he had negotiated Ksh1 billion payout for farmers in the sugar millers privatisation deal, a Ksh400 million boost from Ksh600 million a majority of them had initially proposed.
