Kenyan marathoners have been tipped to address Manchester United players following British Billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe's recent acquisition of a stake in the club's ownership.
Ratcliffe, who is also the founder of one of the world's largest chemical producers, INEOS, plans to invite the marathoners for training sessions with the players to enhance their mentality.
New Zealand's All Blacks Rugby stars will also be part of the group that has been invited to address the players.
According to United Kingdom news outlets, Ratcliffe is eager to leverage expertise from other sports, including runners, rugby, and Formula One, to revitalize the club and restore its lost glory at Old Trafford.
The new strategy by the British billionaire has seen success with Ligue 1 club Nice, where medics from the All Blacks camp were invited to address the players.
Similarly, Kenyan runners will also be invited to provide tips to Nice players on pace explosions and improving their quickness off the mark.
Among the marathoners tipped to visit Carrington, Manchester United's training ground, is Kenya’s iconic runner, Eliud Kipchoge.
In 2022, Kipchoge signed a long-term performance partnership with INEOS and the NN Running Team.
INEOS's close association with Eliud Kipchoge and the NN Running Team dates back to 2019 when it was the driving force behind the runner's INEOS 1:59 Challenge in Vienna, Austria.
In recent times, Kenyan marathoners have also delivered talks to All Blacks players, aiming to enhance their mentality and endurance.
Former Manchester United coach, Sir Alex Ferguson recently visited the club's Velodrome Headquarters where he discussed with Ratcliffe's right-hand-man Sir Dave Brailsford how to revitalise the team.
Brailsford who has an incredible record in cycling, is the man who has been backing up integration of INEOS at Old Trafford and is currently conducting a thorough review of the club's operation on behalf of Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
