Kenya has jumped four slots from position 111 to 107 in the latest rankings by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).
In the ranking, Kenya improved to 1,191.24 points, up from the previous 1,181.92 points scored in last year's survey.
This marks Kenya's steadiest rise in the past five years and edging closer to the 100th position.
The highest rank FIFA has ever placed Kenya is position 68 in December 2008 while the lowest rank was 137 in July 2007.
In March 2024, Harambee Stars were crowned champions of the Four Nations tournament that was held in Malawi after beating Zimbabwe 3-1 in the finals.
Across all footballing competitions, Kenya has scored 12 goals in the last three matches to extend their winning streak.
The new ranking comes after FIFA threatened to suspend Kenya from footballing competitions over the Football Kenya Federation's (FKF) failure to hold elections.
FIFA sent a letter on March 26, instructing the Federation to hold the elections without any delay or risk sanctions.
In the new rankings released by FIFA, Argentina was ranked first, followed by France, Belgium, England and Brazil respectively.
In Africa, Morocco was ranked first in the continent, holding position 13. The performance is attributed to the country's stellar performance after reaching the semi-finals in the 2022 World Cup.
Senegal, which was edged out at the Round of 16 stage at the 2022 World Cup, was ranked 17th.
In East Africa, Uganda was ranked at position 92, followed by Kenya and Tanzania (119).
