"I am pleased to note that Kenya and France have finalised an agreement to facilitate funding for the upgrading of the Nairobi commuter railway.

"This project aligns with Kenya's urban development initiatives aiming to enhance transport services and mobility in the Nairobi Metropolitan area. The amount involved here is close to Ksh20 billion," he stated.

On the other hand, Mudavadi detailed that Kenya and France would partner in the development of eight sports centres across the country to the tune of Ksh10 billion.

Mudavadi explained that both countries would contribute funds towards the development of the centres aimed at improving the sports industry in the country.

The Prime CS added that the project was timely given that the country is gearing towards hosting the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2027.

"The two countries have agreed on a key project to establish 8 social sports and cultural complexes throughout the country that will be co-financed with the two countries to the tune of Ksh10 billion," the foreign CS stated.

On his part, he praised President Wiliam Ruto for his role in solving conflicts across the globe.

He also expressed that France would support Kenya in its plans to lead a multinational force in Haiti.
