Aden Duale Claims NASA Co-Principals Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and Isaac Ruto Were Bribed

National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale on Wednesday attacked some of the National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principals for accepting what he described as non-existent jobs.

According to the legislator, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula and Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto, were bribed to accept positions that are not even provided for in the Constitution.

The Majority Leader, while speaking to the media in Garissa town, stated that money changed, hands and Kalonzo, Musalia, Wetangula and Ruto were bribed into accepting the positions.

The Garissa Township Member of Parliament (MP) also dismissed the NASA line-up stating that Jubilee had the numbers and would still win majority seats in both Houses.

"The much-talked-about tyranny of numbers will be another tyranny of numbers. I anticipate JP will have more than 200 MPs out of the 290 in the 12th National Assembly and more than 30 senators in the Senate," Duale stated.

The legislator also commented on the just concluded nominations stating that Parliament should enact a law that will empower the IEBC to carry out party primaries as parties were clearly not able to conduct the exercise effectively.

"It is obvious parties do not have the capacity to carry out the nominations because of the enormous logistics and resources required for the primaries,” he stated.

He was reacting to last week’s party primaries that were marred by violence, manipulation, bribery and outright theft.

The Majority Leader was speaking for the first time after last week's party nominations.
