Amherst College Declines Further Queries by Individuals on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Degree

A United States college that President Uhuru Kenyatta attended has decided that it will no longer be responding to individual queries over his degree.

Amherst College, where President Uhuru graduated with a degree in economics & political science in 1985, said that it had been overwhelmed by questions regarding the issue.

The college stated that its decision was prompted by overwhelming demand on Twitter on Kenyatta's academic qualifications and whether he graduated from the prestigious institution.

The Massachusetts-based college also declined to divulge the President’s grades, explaining that it does not reveal such information due to personal privacy considerations.

The College had earlier affirmed on Twitter that Kenyatta had indeed graduated in 1985 with a degree in economics & political science.

The zeal by critics of the Head of State has also forced another University that bears a similar name to Amherst to clarify that Kenyatta never attended the institution.

In a statement by the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, the institution stated that the President had no affiliation with the university after Kenyans mistakenly sent queries to them.

This comes in the wake of a spat between the State and Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho over accusations of forging his academic documents.

Mr Joho has, however, denied those allegations.
