Another US Media Attacked by Kenyans

American news channel Fox News, is on the receiving end of insults and reprimanding remarks from Kenyans on Twitter, after supposedly misreporting the state of Africa amid the Pope’s visit.

Fox News reported that Pope Francis touring Kenya, Uganda and  Central Africa Republic, was visiting a ‘war-torn Africa’. The statement sparked reactions from all fronts with Fox News yet to respond to the criticism.

The American news channel has been accused severally for its biased and racist coverage on issues regarding African-Americans, Democrats, Palestine and immigrants.

Africans have always called upon accurate reporting by the Western media, which the continent constantly accuses of not getting it right.

This is now the second US media to be heaviliy criticised by Kenyans after Cable News Network (CNN) reported prior to US President Barack Obama's visit to Kenya, that he was visiting a 'terror hotbed'.

The terror phrase forced CNN Director, Tony Maddox, to seek audience with President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House, Nairobi, where he offered an apology.
