Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri Demands Kalonzo's Arrest Over Vote Rigging Claims

Controversial Bahati Member of Parliament (MP) Kimani Ngunjiri has demanded the arrest of Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka over his claims that the government was planning to rig the 2017 General Election.

Ngunjiri stated that Musyoka’s allegations were reckless and were meant to incite political violence.

“What Kalonzo has said, that he has information that one million votes have been stolen in favour of Jubilee, is meant to prepare Kenyans for war in 2017. Why is he not being arrested? He is not above the law and he should be arrested so that he explains his claims,” the vocal legislator stated.

He called on Interior Coordination CS Joseph Nkaissery to move with speed and ensure that such allegations are not made without consequences.

Last week, the CORD co-principal sensationally claimed that there was a conspiracy to rig the upcoming election in favour of Jubilee by irregularly registering 1 million voters.

Musyoka made the comments after he discovered his Identification Card (ID) number had been used to register a female voter from Gatundu North.

The issue was later clarified by the IEBC and the government, both claiming it was as a result of a mix-up in the entry of voters' data.
