Ballot Boxes From 10 Polling Stations in Gatundu South Disappear as Angry Youth Storm Deputy Commander's Office

Tension was high in Gatundu South, Kiambu County early Tuesday morning after ballot boxes from 10 polling stations allegedly went missing.

Reports on the suspicious circumstances that led to the disappearance of the ballot boxes forced angry youth to storm the offices of the deputy commander's office, accusing him of vote rigging.

The protesters alleged that the police boss had diverted the ballot papers headed to the polling stations and was planning to rig elections with the incumbent area Member of Parliament (MP), Moses Kuria.

Kuria's rival  Joseph Waweru flanked by dozens of supporters alleged that the incumbent area MP, Moses Kuria, was planning to manipulate the primaries.

"Somebody is playing with our minds. We are understanding that the boxes are here...they were brought here last week," said Waweru.

An accusation reinforced by fellow aspirant Joseph Njoroge, who alleged that the commissioner had refused to allow them to inspect the police officer's vehicle.

Kuria has meanwhile raised a storm after he hurled the f*** word before walking out on the reporter.

He accused the media of blaming him for every wrong thing that was happening in Gatundu.

"I am tired of the stupid media. Everything wrong that happens in this country is blamed on Moses Kuria," ranted Kuria.
