Chaos as Names Miss in Register at ODM Nairobi Nominations

Tension is high at Mathare Orange Democratic Nominations (ODM) after voters protested over the slow voting process.

According to the voters, the process was very slow and nothing was being done to ensure the situation is better.

Most of the party supporters complained of long waiting hours and no communication from party officials regarding the process.

Meanwhile, in Kibra, Kilimani, Ziwani and Makadara residents complained of being turned back as their names were not in the register.

"I got here at 5.30am but after queuing here for long I was told my name is not in the register," one supporter stated.

The ODM nominations have been ongoing from April 13th and will be concluded today.

Some of the big names battling it out include Business woman Esther Passaris who is vying for the Nairobi Woman Rep seat against Beatrice Kwamboka. Former legislator Reuben Ndolo will square it out with former Nairobi Mayor George Aladwa in the Makadara parliamentary contest.
