A class eight pupil was killed in Migori County over suspicion that he was having an affair with his cousin's wife.
Dickson Omondi was reportedly attacked by his cousin together with three other men, who beat him to death using a blunt object.
“Dickson was a very humble boy and I can't understand why such a thing happened to him. He used to do a lot of farming and occasionally worked at the gold mines to help his family,”said his grandmother, Magdaline Awuor.
Area Chief, Jared Kadiga confirmed the incident even as he dismissed claims that the deceased was engaged in the illicit affair, stating that the boy was too young.
According to a report by Citizen TV, police arrested the suspect as he attempted to flee into Tanzania.
