DP Ruto's Leads Jubilee Campaigns in Naivasha

Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua on Friday made a surprise appearance at Deputy President William Ruto's meeting in Naivasha, Nakuru County.

Karua is said to have arrived as the rally held at Kihoto Grounds came to an end.

When invited to address the meeting by the DP, the former Justice Minister reiterated her support for President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election.

She indicated that she had tasted both the Opposition and the government and had decided to back the Head of State in the August 8 General Election.

However, a section of the crowd shouted pro-Jubilee slogans at her in an attempt to convince her to fold Narc Kenya and join Jubilee.

Speaking at the same venue, the DP criticised the Opposition leaders accusing them of lacking any agenda and dividing the country along ethnic lines.

He defended the Jubilee administration's performance maintaining that most of its projects had been in government books for years yet they had not been implemented.

“The Standard Gauge Railway was only an idea in government books and has been there for more than 49 years. And what is wrong when the Jubilee government decides to implement it? he posed.

The DP further defended the country's huge public debt maintaining that the borrowed money had been put to good use such as increasing electricity connectivity in various regions.
