Drama as Female Preacher Disrupts CS Kariuki's Event

A female preacher dramatically stopped an event that was being presided over by Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs Cabinet Secretary Sicily Kariuki, when she started to yelp at the Minister.

The self-proclaimed prophetess on Wednesday stormed Ms Kariuki's press conference in Nakuru, shouting at the top of her voice, saying that there was nothing the CS was doing since the world was coming to an end.

The woman identified as Jemimah Njeri, demanded to meet with Nakuru County Commander Joshua Nkanatha, claiming that she had crucial information to discuss with him regarding the national security.

Njeri, who is said to be a common street preacher in Nairobi, began criticising the government while asking people to repent sins they committed against former President Daniel Moi.

“Nataka kukwambia hivi madam CS. Hii kazi unayofanya ni zero kama watu hawata repent kwa yale waliyomtendea Moi (Madam CS, I want to tell you this. The work you are doing is bogus if the people won’t repent for the sins they commited against Moi) ,” Ms Njeri was quoted by the Nation.

According to the 'prophetess', Kenya's problems began when Moi's car was soiled with human waste in 2003.

However, Njeri was subdued by the Cabinet Secretary's bodyguards, before the function resumed.

Police later released the woman after residents confirmed that she was often spotted preaching in Nakuru and Nairobi streets.

Last year, the preacher was almost lynched by Nakuru shoe shiners and hawkers after she claimed that a prominent politician would soon die.

Following the 'prophecy', it is said that a month later, former Homa Bay Senator Otieno Kajwang' passed on.
