EACC Officers Visit Tom Mboya Primary School Where Governor Hassan Joho Schooled

Officers from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission on Wednesday morning visited  Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho's former primary school.

Tom Mboya Primary School Head Suleiman Babu has stated that the anti-graft agency is investigating the Governor's education background

The Commission has requested Mr Babu to provide a certified copy of Mr Joho’s KCPE results slip.

In a letter adressed to Mr Babu, EACC Deputy Secretary Michael Mubea explained that the inquiry was part of investigations into Joho’s conduct.

“The commission is informed that Ali Hassan Joho was a pupil at Tom Mboya Primary School and sat for the primary school examination sometimes on or about the years 1989,” the letter dated March 28th read.

“For investigation purposes, the anti-graft agency wants to know whether Mr Joho sat for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination and the grades he obtained, including the school completion certificate.

“Our officers will be available to collect the documents and information on or before April 5, 2017,” Mr Mubea stated.
