The Former Minister of Agriculture and Foreign Affairs Fredrick Lawrence Munyua Waiyaki has passed on.
Dr Waiyaki died on Tuesday morning at the age of 91 while undergoing treatment at the Aga Khan Hospital.
He served as a government doctor during President Jomo Kenyatta's regime after which he retired and set up his own clinic.
He was also the District Chairman for Kenya African National Union (KANU) for a period of eight years.
Waiyaki was later appointed as a Permanent Secretary (PS) in the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Housing.
He first entered parliament in May 1963 as a Member of Parliament (MP) for North Eastern Nairobi (now Kasarani constituency).
